I am an educator and arts administrator currently located on the Central Coast of California. I enjoy being an arts administrator and thrive in a strategic and collaborative environment that supports the long-term growth of the organization and staff.
I strive to create not only a great theatrical production but a wonderful experience for both the audience and staff. I have worked in all capacities of the theatre and a multitude of theatrical settings such as educational, opera, ballet, concert, and outdoor venues. My decision to learn about the theatre as a whole instead of focusing on a particular component has enabled me to think about the bigger picture, i.e. the season v. a single production, and how what we are doing affects everyone associated with a production.
Theatre is a collaborative art. We cannot just live in the bubble of our own department, we must branch out and find solutions that will benefit all. This is what I aspire to do as an arts leader and what I aim to teach my students.
